The 14-storey Crowne Plaza Hotel acts as a gateway building for Dundalk Town South, standing prominently on its site and located adjacent to the listed former PJ Carroll & Company cigarette factory, designed by modernist architect Ronnie Tallon. The top floor of the hotel was reserved for a restaurant to capitalise its wonderful views of the Cooley Peninsula and Dundalk Town. The cultural significance of this landmark building has been elevated recently as it now features the tallest mural in Ireland, painted by renowned artist Sam Bates in 2021. Part of the Green Park Sustainable Office Park Masterplan, the building includes for local photo-voltaic power generation, a wood chip fired district heating system and super insulated facades specially developed with Permasteelisa in Italy.
