Bayview House is a residential development located on an elevated site overlooking Drogheda Railway Station. The project delivers 58 high quality apartments within a mix of new and refurbished buildings, creating a distinctive and well-crafted addition to the town. The development combines the careful adaptation of existing historic structures with a contemporary new building. The original Bayview House has been converted into two apartments, while the adjoining coach house has been restored and extended to provide two further apartments, a communal room, and shared utility spaces. The main new building ranges from four to five storeys and accommodates 54 apartments, offering a mix of one, two and three bedroom homes. The design is defined by its use of robust, high quality brick on the façade, giving the building a sense of permanence and material richness. Detailing and proportion are carefully considered to ensure the new structure complements the character of Drogheda’s historic fabric while expressing a confident modern identity. The project includes extensive landscape works, with the repair of existing boundary walls, reinstatement of the pedestrian entrance to Dublin Road, and new tree planting throughout the site. Together, these elements create a cohesive and inviting residential environment that enhances the urban edge of Drogheda.
