The Friary Place & Rathmullen residential scheme has won the award for Architectural Metalwork in the 2024 Irish Steel Awards. This 162-unit project was shortlisted for the Irish Construction Excellence Awards 2025.
This development stretches over two plots of land, with two distinctive characters, either side of the River Boyne in Drogheda totalling 162 Houses and Apartments. The apartment building in Friary Place & Rathmullen project is a new architectural landmark in Drogheda which transformed a derelict site into a vibrant residential community overlooking the River Boyne. The 11-storey building provides 41 contemporary apartments each with private balconies and access to a communal roof terrace and other shared amenities. Our aim for the apartment building was to create a landmark structure aligning with Drogheda's urban identity and development frameworks. This is accompanied by 121 houses delivered using timber-frame MMC, whose scale and architectural language is appropriate to the context of that area of the site.
