Van Dijk Architects has completed the redevelopment of Bayview House overlooking Drogheda Railway Station. The project has transformed a well-known site into a high quality residential scheme.

The design combines sensitive restoration with contemporary architecture. The 1850’s Bayview House has been converted into 2 apartments, and the original coach house now provides 2 more homes along with shared facilities. The new building rises to five storeys and contains 54 apartments in a mix of one, two and three bedroom layouts.

The façade is finished in high quality brick that gives the development a strong and enduring presence within the town. Careful detailing and natural materials help it connect with the surrounding streetscape and historic setting.

The project also includes the repair of boundary walls, reinstated pedestrian access to Dublin Road and new landscaping throughout the site. Bayview House is now a confident and well-crafted addition to Drogheda’s built environment.
