The recently completed apartments at Mill Lane have transformed a derelict site into a vibrant residential community overlooking the River Boyne, enriching Drogheda’s urban landscape. The 11-storey scheme provides 41 contemporary apartments each with private balconies and access to a communal roof terrace and other shared amenities. Our aim for the project was to create a landmark structure aligning with Drogheda’s urban identity and development frameworks.

This week, The Mill Lane Apartments won the award for Architectural Metalwork in the 2024 Irish Steel Awards, in conjunction with Graepels, the perforated metal manufacturer and Bespoke Glazing Solutions, who installed the cladding. The intricate perforations on the custom metal cladding provide natural ventilation and light control, while adding textural interest to the building’s facade.
